I work in security and everybody hates the security guards at my job . But today a really cute girl walked through one of these 6 metal detectors that are here . I’ve been trying to get better at this but I genuinely smiled , made eye contact and said “hi how are you.” And quiet for like 4 seconds she gives a smile back back with eye contact and then says “have a good night” as she’s walking . I’m fully aware she probably thought I was creepy , in a rush to leave or whatever it could have been but why do it like that . Tf just happened . My chest just fell outta my ass .

Maybe she just didn’t hear you/misheard you. I think it’s pretty common, and I’ve done similar things too. For example:
“Where are you going?”
“Good, how are you?”
She could have not heard you. But my bet would be she just took it as a greeting, and not something to respond to. I’m positive the exchange wasn’t as monumental on her end so I wouldn’t put too much weight into it.
