What do you tell yourself in moments of self-doubt?

  1. Recently my best friend of 7 years wrote me a letter of encouragement after my first long-term relationship ended with her cheating on me. In the letter he quoted our other best friend who had died several years ago with the last thing he had ever said about me to him, it makes me cry every time I read it but its a mix of happy and sad tears

The quote: *OP has an inhumane ability to love, he may get distracted but he will have love in his heart, in every beat.* (For context my friend was really mad at me for something stupid I did at the time and went to go let off steam with him)

    Edited to add the quote

  2. I put on music, close my eyes, and tell myself to focus on the music. Maybe think about happy times, times that you’re proud of yourself, times where your at pure chill, stuff like that. Then dance to the music however you want. It’ll cheer you up and pull you out of a ditch most times. Unless you don’t like music, or dancing alone while laying on your bed.

  3. I imagine there’s a little tanjiro from demon slayer in my head cheering me on

  4. I often go beyond doubt and full-on agree that I’m probably not good enough for whatever I’m doubting myself over.

  5. Bravery doesn’t feel like bravery when you’re being brave. It feels like fear.

The bravest men in history were the ones who were able to feel fear and self-doubt long enough to do what others wouldn’t.

Thats it. Thats the secret. Be willing to be in fear and self doubt longer than everyone else and you’ll be able to do things no one else can do.

  6. It’s the best I can do even though I can do better but I don’t feel like it

  7. Hard to diagnose that it’s happening sometimes. It can be subtle. Like a vague undertone throughout all things

  8. Either it’ll go well, or it’ll be a lesson for next time. Nothing comes from not doing it.

  9. A lot of times I just remind myself there’s a version of me that does believe in myself and start listening to that guy than the guy I currently am.
