Is it ok to check in after awhile and ask?

I had a guy ask me out and we moved to trying to nail down availability for him and I. How long would you give him to respond? And would you say anything after so much time has passed like:

“ hey, let me know when you have time and your less busy. I actually figured you changed your mind”

Or Idk..
