  1. High quality polymer eraser. Liquid white out as well as white out tape. Graphing calculator and a standard calculator. A rubber stamp with the coordinates plane on it so I can draw any type of lines/parabolas on a graph and all the triangles I can imagine.

    this is gonna sound really weird but I use a number two basic pencil during the day and a 8B lumograph pencil after dusk bc it’s hard to see all the numbers with standard lightbulbs.

    I enrolled in a STEM program. been studying a shit ton lately. it helps to have your desk and writing accessories organized

  2. A label maker. Feels silly at how impactful that is. It has serious cut down on intra-family annoyances.

    Labels for

    * tool chests and similar
    * the kid’s toy boxes
    * spices and food ingredients we buy in bulk for reusable containers
    * arts and crafts
    * labels for my music studio (that’s a whole sub-topic, there are many places they’re useful in music/audio engineering)
    * labels on the various laundry baskets that say ‘dirty’ or ‘clean’
    * on big Rubbermaid crates of various seasonal stuff
    * filing cabinets (though I’ve gone so paperless, that is less important now)

    I used to use a Sharpie. But for it looked messy* and after you re-organized a few times and had crossed out and re-Sharpied, it looked really messy.

    *tip, get the black and white ink on clear tape for the label maker, then the labels aren’t gaudy, sometimes hard to even see unless you’re looking for them, then easy.

  3. Big ass bonham size drums. Improves my life drastically, but probably not my neighbors

  4. A gym membershp, exercise keeps me focused and motivated.

    A really good headset for phone calls. Allows me to talk and work at the same time.

  5. This is going to sound super basic. But having an Alexa with a clock (basically the echo dot) on it has become crucial for my room

  6. an analogue alarm clock, and a coffee pot on a timer that I can set the night before, it sings a little tune as a morning alarm as the coffee brews so I can get up to freshly made coffee.

    I needed things to lower the barriers to getting out of bed in morning (my coffee is ready!) and to not reach for my phone first thing. (phone can still be set to an alarm, but it’s charging in the next room and the alarm clock is bedside so I can still check the time.)

    having a really nice comfy bed – good rest is important

    everything else is sort of chaos at present, but if I get the morning right it can really help
