I have a few people (mostly mentors) in my life where we each put something interesting into the conversation and try to make it very full – it’s usually about big topics. On occasion I want to talk to these people, but it would ruin a streak of really good conversations where I wouldn’t have anything particularly good to add to the convo but I would enjoy their presence. What do people do in these situations to enjoy someone’s presence but have nothing to add conversation wise!

  1. I wouldn’t worry much about keeping a good streak going, that seems like unnecessary pressure to put on yourself. Just let them you don’t have much to say this time around. People can enjoy each other’s company without the need for a charged conversation.
