Quick question. I have opportunity to know some new people because I’m going to highschool. Now we have technology to communicate with others by Messenger and etc. Moreover, I wonder what would be better: getting to know my friends through Meesenger and then meeting them live or getting to know them live without contacting them via communicators? What is your opinion?

Both ways are okay, as long as they (the ways of socialize) do not interfere with each other. If you were you choose one, it’s real life hands down.
I guess you have an opportunity to get to know each other first, before the school starts. I believe it doesn’t matter as much, because you’ll easily make a lot of good friends without fussing on the internet.
