The fucking shoobies are back.
“jeez oh pete”
Please?
Don’t think we have any of those jawns
Hoosier.
Most people know it as slang for someone from Indiana. But in St. Louis, it’s a derogatory term meaning redneck, hick, white trash, or similar.
“Jawn” is fairly exclusive to Philadelphia and the surrounding PA counties.
Using “hoosier” as the word for “hillbilly.”
Apparently only St Louisans do that. I have no idea why.
For the most part, anything in Cajun French.
I think most people understand the word fiesta.
But, Fiesta in San Antonio refers to a specific event, or maybe series of events. It’s a traditional multi day festival here.
Yinz got a gumband?
From my days in Pittsburgh – Yunz
Edit Others have said it is “Yinz “ I’ve hear it both ways, but their way is probably more popular.
“American or Lafayette?” Any real Detroiter knows this!
I went out to get a hoagie for lunch since we were out of chipped ham, but the sidewalks were slippy and I fell in some jagger bushes right on my dupa. These kids started laughing at me so I said “Yinz are a bunch of jagoffs”. One of the shot a gumband at me so I threw a monkey ball at him. When I was almost home a nebby guy pushing a buggy told me Kennywood’s open. My gutchies n’at were all muddy from falling so I turned on the spicket to clean up before I went in the house.
DUUUUUUUUUVAAAAAAAAAAL
I’m going to drive up to Sequim and head back down to Puyallup later in the day.
Do you live ITP or OTP?
y’all’d’ve’f’i’d’ve. You all would have if I would have
Eegees…
This might actually be common in my state and a few neighboring ones, but we call cigarettes bogies (bow-geez), and statewide we say “brick” to mean when it’s so fucking cold that the slightest breeze almost hurts.
OTP/ITP
The aroma of Tacoma. On a hot summer day there was nothing worse
Don’t get on the freeway, just stay on the feeder
Regional really… “The Mountain is out”, or “The Mountain isn’t out.”
(Explanation: Mount Rainier dominates the skyline of the south and central Puget Sound area… “Out” refers to it being visible, which it isn’t always given our climate.)
If you take the 5 to the 10 to the 405 to the 101 you’ll get there in 45min
