I’m kind of nervous because I always make friends but we ghost each other in about three months, I wouldn’t want this to happen this time.

  1. Well in a work environment, getting ghosted wouldn’t be as likely I’d hope. It’ll open the door for awkwardness when people come face to face in the office next time after all.

A work setting is actually a great place to meet new people, especially if you work in a team. There’s all sorts of opportunities to get to know people. Even if you’re new-ish to making friends, you’ll easily be in a position to piggyback off conversations and get-togethers happening around you.

It’s precisely why the next job I take, I wouldn’t want to be remote, but also not a lone cubicle worker in a giant intimidating sea of people. I’d like to find a company that lets me work in a small team so the stuff I described can happen.
