My brother came over today, and is just really down about a relationship. I’m not the best at cheering people up, I usually just try to be funny and make people laugh, but that doesn’t seem to be helping. My bf is playing video games with him right now, but idk if that’s making him feel worse or not.

In my opinion, there isn’t really much to say. His heart is broken and needs to heal. Right now your brother just needs people around to listen to his woes and for mild distractions. Because I guarantee he’s spending his nights tormented by his relationship. Rest assured, you’re helping even if it doesn’t seem like it.
