2. If you normally talk to them sure. If not then don’t. If you hope you get back together her and you actually believe you will then sure. If you don’t think so then don’t. If it won’t hurt you in the end and make you depressed more than you may have already been then sure. If it will then don’t.

   Do you truly wish him a happy B-day ? If you do then tell him happy B-day. If you don’t want him to have a happy B-day then don’t tell him happy B-day.
