I’ve recently got onto the Bumble adventure. My comments about the start can be found elsewhere. My original theory was it would be pretty much a Tinder 2.0 ==> 9/1 female/male ratio, barely any matches and even less responses.

I was right and I was wrong. I did start out getting some likes which, truth be told, with some careful swiping could be converted into matches. Alas, and obviously, most of the scarce matches didn’t do anything. As you probably will know, on Bumble the woman has to start the conversation and they’re generally totally garbage at doing so. They will ghost a guy who will open with “Hey” as quickly as a Tesla on cocaine, but will open with exactly the same message and expect results…? >.<.

Anyway, I had one decent match who would continue being proactive and apparently truly interested. She had nice pictures. Obviously edited, but haven’t we all…

I arrive… She appears. Absolutely nothing like the pictures. I mean, the overal appearance was slightly lookalike, but the face… The make-up… None of that. It was weird. Obviously I expected another face.

But, I kept going. What’s the point of travelling all the way to her place and not give her a slightest of chances. We got drunk, had fun, got slightly sexual (got to fucking do it as a man); even after confronting her with her kinda fake picture. She agreed wholeheartedly (lol). Nw I have no clue what to do. I can keep her on a leash because it was a good evening and who knows (and I now know I can hit her up) but at the end of the day I didn’t “match” with her but I fell for some random ass edited picture, didn’t I?

Conclusion. Another reason for males to completely skip dating apps. And women, fix your game.
