what holidays work for you, calm or adventurous?

1. Most of our holiday/vacation were always spent at my grandpas cabin. It was kind if a mix of both because during the day we would just be relaxing or fishing but then every night is a raging beer party and god knows whats gonna happen. One time my wife was giving me a hummer by the lake and my brother went to get a pack of smokes out of his boat, when he turned around again “oh shit! What up guys”! The next night we went to the driveway to smoke a joint and he was on the other side of the truck from me when I get there and didnt see his wife. Me: wheres ur wife, bro: right here, SIL: pops her head up from behind the truck “i stopped to say hi” and disappeared again.

   Now that we are old we just dump the kid on our parents and take staycations. I like staycations, i get to be home for more than 2 hours a day and dont have all the things that fill up my weekend because we have no time during the week.

2. We try to do 1 beach-esque “Relaxing” type of holiday and then 1 adventure/outdoors type of holiday per year. We are going to do more in the future since our kids are getting older and I’ve semi-retired from working.

3. I like a mix of both. It’s doesn’t have to be all or nothing. We usually do camping trips. Some days we explore the surrounding areas and so touristy things and other days we stay in the park and bad hang by the fire.
