where do i go from here?

[f18] i’ve been dating this guy in my year for a couple weeks now and we’ve hit it off really well. tonight we had a conversation about relationships and we both have different sentiments.

i shared that if i were to be in a relationship now, i would be ready to break up before going to uni because i’ll be moving away (2 hours away) and wouldn’t be able to balance a relationship. i’m someone who gets heavily involved in my surroundings, and i know that if i were to be with someone who didn’t live near me, i would quickly see them as a burden and be a complete ass. i DONT want that to happen.

they shared that they think it’s strange to be in a relationship only to prepare to break up. i understand that, but i think they really expected to be in a relationship with me.

so for now we agreed to continue to see each other like we have as usual. but idk where else to go from here. i mean i’ll see how it goes, but surely the topic will come up again. any advice on how to work with them?
