I can always tells when my period is about to start because I will be sad and horny at the same time while also deeply craving penetration. Whenever I do have penetrative sex around the right time of month, my period always follows within the next day or two. The penetration also seems to worsen the period cramps afterwards. It’s almost as if the penetration and vaginal orgasms activate the shedding of the uterine walls. Maybe it’s just a coincidence because I get horny when my hormones change, but penetrative sex while having cramps always stimulates my period. Does anyone else experience this?

Myself and a few of my friends have experienced this as well! I mentioned it to my obgyn and she said they aren’t related but it keeps happening.
I’m on birth control and notice that I consistently get my period after having sex if I haven’t had sex in a while.

Yeah! My period gets speeded up after a very deeper penetration with my partner. He also can smell it on me, when it’s about to start, according to him. I actually get less cramps when it happens like that.

It doesn’t trigger it exactly. Your period flow is already building up and the sexual activity forces the flow down a little faster.
Same thing happens to some women when they have sex during their period. It forces the flow down faster so period ends quicker.
I read somewhere before that orgasms cause your period to start sooner. The muscle contractions from an orgasm cause it to come out a bit sooner. In my experience, it’s true.
