If people in your country can be knighted like in the UK, who will it be?

  1. What are usually the reasons knighthood is given? I am unfamiliar with the practice.

  2. Anyone willing to pay the Principality of Sealand approximately $100 to become a Knight.

  3. Anyone people in the US lionize is always revealed to be a vile self serving ghoul about two months later. So, no, let’s not go further down the rabbit hole of cringe cult of personality shit like “knighting” people.

  4. We give out honors.

If we had knighthoods, that probably would mean we had a peerage and a monarchy, and we don’t need that.

  5. Interestingly, I believe if you are knighted then you are barred in the Constitution from holding any elected office. I’ll have to read through it again but I think that is in there.

  6. It would go against American values to give out titles like that, but IF we had that, I would say Dolly Parton. I’m not really a fan of her music, but I admire how she she has used her success to lift up others.
