The whole line up of TGIF. Everyone use to watch those shows religiously.
The first season of The Terror.
The Beverly Hillbillies 😂
The Borgias
Horrible histories 💁🏼♀️
I enjoyed the tudors (unaware of historical accuracy)
Are you asking about real life history, or shows set in the past?
I am Obsessed with Outlander!
Black Sails. It’s more historical-adjacent, but still really good.
Chernobyl was fantastic even though it was 4 episodes.
Little house on the prairie
So far I watched :
– outlander
– Bridgerton
– the gilded age
– poldark ( meh)
– sanditon (meh)
– belgravia (meh)
Trying to find the North and the south, the Spanish princess, the borgias, and Rome… but looking for more ideas
The history is fairly recent (50s and 60s) but I really like Call the Midwife.
Reign is perhaps the least historically accurate thing ever made but boy do I love it
*BBC- The Sharpe Series (bonus- it stars Sean Bean), Ripper Street, Copper, Brother Cadfael Mysteries
*Vikings
IDK about accuracy, but these were fun:
*HBO’s Rome
*Starz- Spartacus, Black Sails, DaVinci’s Demons, Spanish Princess, White Queen, White Princess, Outlander
Alternate history- Man in the high Castle is an amazing portrayal of America divided by Nazi Germany and Japan after we lost WWII.
The last kingdom, vikings, vikings Valhalla
Downton Abbey.
The magnificent Century
Mad Men
Call the Midwife
Land Girls
Home Fires
I love HBOs Rome, The Last Kingdom, White Queen, White Princess, Downton Abbey, Vikings, Versailles, Clarissa (it’s a miniseries with Saskia Wickham and Sean Bean, it’s on YouTube), Mildred Pierce (HBO miniseries with Kate Winslet, it’s set in the 1930s so not exactly that long ago)
The Tudors
Vikings is pretty great.
