3 months into the relationship, bf bought me a 2k phone as a surprise. He told me that he wants to give his mum and wanted my advice on what phone he should get.
Fast forward to his birthday, I gave him a power bank instead of something with similar value. What would he feels/think? Is this the right choice?
His friend questioned him this question and thought that he contributed a lot to the relationship.

Well, everyone should give as much as they can afford.
But if my girlfriend gave me a powerbank for my Bday, I would assume she’s just not that into me. It’s not a question of money, but the effort. I would prefer that she made me a t-shirt or something. But a powerbank is just… damn…
