My wife (40F) sometimes lightly bleeds and has some pain when I (41M) perform oral sex on her. We’ve been together for 15+ years and this hasn’t been an issue since the last couple of years, happening more lately. We have 2 kids, youngest is 9 so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or just something that happens when we get older. We do lots of kissing and touching to warm her up, I always shave before to not add stubble burn. We don’t drink or smoke, both healthy. I feel bad because I know she’s frustrated. I don’t care about the blood on my end but I don’t want her to feel self conscious about it or be in any kind of pain. When it’s so painful she asks me to stop and offers to give me oral instead I lose my erection because knowing she’s in pain/discomfort it’s a bit of a mood killer. This makes her feel bad as well which makes me feel awful. Before for this we’d average sex 2-3 times a week. I usually give her oral first until she orgasms then we have regular sex until we both finish. Now we can’t get passed the oral part. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  1. I dont want to come off as rude, but have you tried asking a medical professional whos actually seen your wife in person? I dont think reddits going to give you answers other than “ask your doctor”

  2. Are you using your teeth? I don’t see how light pressure from the tongue/lips could cause bleeding. You’re either biting her or she has something else going on that should be checked by a doctor.
