You may well struggle to pass the checks letting agents do so may struggle to find something good. But get in spare room, rent a room out to find that job and once you have a couple months then look for somehere to rent
As long as you provide evidence of being in work at the moment of applying I’m not sure if they would be clever enough to put 2+2 together and question it, unless it’s super obvious there’s no way you could be doing that job in Liverpool.
Depends on how sophisticated their affordability checks are really. I’m pretty sure they just look at the figures normally.
