Dating for me is just so fucking depressing, I don’t even know where to start or how to begin. I’ve never even really dated, only met a few women for regrettable hookups out of desperation. I have no positive experience to lean on, no idea how to even start because nothing I do seems to help.
And it’s not like I’m out of shape, dressed like a slob, or can’t wash myself, all the regular BS advice given here. I go out, but it’s never led to meeting or talking to women. Online dating is just a depressing waste of time. I get 1 or 2 matches that don’t respond, just getting my hopes up that maybe someone wants me. And I know they have 50+ other matches that I can’t compete with.
All of this shit makes it incredibly hard to feel secure or have any confidence when it comes to dating. Make me feel like it’s all pointless and I’ll spend my life alone.

That’s your problem dude. You base your dateability on online dating apps, which is a losing game from the start. Of course you’re going to feel beaten down; the entire premise is superficiality and there’s always going to be someone hotter and/or more accomplished than you.
Go outside. Join a club, take a class, or get a new hobby; anything that places you in the vicinity of real people. I promise there will be others like you who can’t be bothered going through the cesspool of online dating. And don’t be weird and make it painfully obvious that you’re there just to find a date. Just socialize and things will click naturally with the right person.
Fake it till you make it. Life isn’t about what you are, it’s about what you give the appearance of being.
I like to enjoy taking long poops while contemplating my next meal. There’s enjoyment to be had without dating.
Are you depressed? If you’re suffering from depression, you might want to think about trying a treatment for that before engaging in something as potentially emotionally-taxing as dating. When you start feeling a little better, things like dating may start to feel more enjoyable. My 2 cents anyhow.
