What job do you want lol? You can get a plethora of jobs with various degrees. It’s almost like the degree is (partially) irrelevant. This is of course dependent on the degree. If you’re comparing flower arranging BA to economics obviously it’s chalk and cheese.
CS could open many doors though.
This being said – it’s the experience that counts. We have an overqualified population generally.
Data science seems like a reasonable step, since you’ll be familiar with the programming languages required
OH has same degree. He is a DevOps engineer. Got into it through graduate scheme in civil service. Makes good money, great benefits and now WFH as well.
What job can I do with an engineering degree thanks
If you are a new(ish) grad. Think about what none CS modules you did in your degree. Which of these did you enjoy, excel at?
software engineer, data scientist, quantitative analyst, system administrator, ux designer, engineering manager (with experience), product manager, penetration tester, business analyst, research assistant, machine learning engineer/scientist.
if none of those appeal to you then you could take a look at generic management/sales/marketing graduate schemes that are open to anyone with a degree. or you could retrain in something completely different, there’s GEM if you wanna study medicine to become a doctor or you could take the ACCA to become a chartered accountant
world’s your oyster buddy
