I am going to be relocating to another country and being in charge of the department, making the whole operation work. Meaning, training people and making sure the sales department is working properly.

I know that the base salary upper management is willing to pay to sales agents is approx $1200+commissions.

And I’ve been asked, what’s my expectation? Cost of living , meaning rent, and flight is paid by the company for the first 4-6 months for sure.

I am not sure, is 2x(of sales agents salary)+commissions for a manager – too much or too low?

I was thinking to say $2,800 and negotiate down to $2,500.

How should I think and calculate? please guide me
