I’d like to share a story about how talking to strangers could lit up your day.

It all started when me and this elderly man met a couple of times on a train ride (to the destination point and back). I always sat where he did because for some reason no one wanted to sit next to a workman with dirty clothes.
After about 2 times doing so, he initiated a conversation with me and I replied. Now we have a chat every time we meet.

I find we have so much in common even tho he’s about 30 years older than me. I love talking to him because he’s just such an interesting individual with lot’s of fun stories about the present and the past.

I know that sometimes talking to strangers is wrong and my story might sound like a complete textbook example of you know what, but it isnt. He has no intention whatsoever of doing any harm.

What I think he needs, is to have a chat with somebody that wont judge him right away and to be honest, I need the exact same thing.

I wish young people would speak more to older people if you have a chance. Once they start speaking about themselves or sharing wisdom, you’re unable to stop listening. Many elders love to listen to opinions and views of younger people too!

  1. I go my friends’ houses so I can steal their grandmas’ food and affection and sometimes crazy stories…
