    I mostly own Horror books .. can’t get enough of it

  5. The Witch’s Heart by Genevieve Gornichec. I’ll read any genre if it’s a good story.

  6. *Lincoln in the Bardo* by George Saunders. Probably the best book I’ve read in the past decade. Most books on my shelf are nonfiction though, history or politics.

  7. The Map Of Knowledge by Violet Moller. I like to always have 3 books on the go – one for learning, one for fun and something serious, so my bookshelf has a lot of personalities.

  9. Humankind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bergman. Debunks many theories about how humans are innately or born selfish, egoistic, evil or bad and highlights studies that have shown how we actually tend to be helpful, kind and motivated best by curiosity, learning and inner goals. A great read in the middle of all the terrible things happening in the world.

  10. Currently reading through the Meg book series. Soldiers and sharks, what could go wrong.

    Most books I have are SciFi, postapocalyptic or horror.
    Got some Fantasy from way back, but not into it anymore.

  11. My brilliant friend by Elena Ferrante. I couldn’t stop reading, I finished the four books in one week.

  12. The best book I’ve read lately is *Age of Innocence* by Edith Wharton.

    My bookshelf is a mix of classics, mythology or folklore/fairytale collections, first or collectible editions of classic children’s novels (like *Wind in the Willows) and fantasy novels.

My fave reads so far this year are: *My Heart is a Chainsaw* by Stephen Graham Jones (prob my current fave horror author, my fave book of his is *The Only Good Indians*), *Know My Name* by Chanel Miller, *Seven Days in June* by Tia Williams, Katherine Arden’s Winternight Trilogy (starting with *The Bear and the Nightingale*), Laini Taylor’s *Daughter of Smoke and Bone* series, *Song of Achilles*

  14. I really enjoyed The trouble with being born by Emil Cioran.

    Pretty much just philosophy. And a couple of those “short history of everything” -books for the moments when I feel extra dumb and want to change that lol

  16. Like Water for Chocolate and I have no idea, I bounce around genres a lot. Right now I’m reading mystery, the last book I read was a collection of short stories, and the book before that was the book I mentioned, which is magical realism.

  18. Most recent was Dan Brown Origins, think I have read all his books, don’t really have a bookshelf most are kindle now but a mix of trash chick lit, John Grisham, and a lot of dystopian future young adult books have been read.

  23. The ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Maas and dark romance has really fucked me up badly I can’t help but want a dark morally grey man who has touch her and you die vibes.

  25. Genre: anything really sad, mostly but not always written by a woman

    Best book: I haven’t been reading too much the last few years, but one that really stuck with me relatively recently was *Road Ends* by Mary Lawson. Very beautiful, but achingly sad book about family, responsibility, and freedom. Well worth a read if you feel like a cry about shitty family dynamics.
