Whenever my husband and I get into it, he can be very hurtful with his words. So I’ve found over the past two years of marriage, that when this happens, I don’t engage and instead, buy myself something small/inexpensive on our joined CC as an apology gift from him. Lol. Is that terrible?

  2. You guys fight badly. Get a book or sign up for some sessions on how to have healthy communication (including how not to fight badly) with each other. It will pay itself in superlative dividends in the long run, better than any small gift you buy for yourself.
