But wait… what if on top of protein and weight lifting we gave them steroids, imagine the kind of jacked up ape that would produce…
Probably not as much as you think. The way our muscle development works is very different from a lot of animals. Ours responds to need because it’s constantly trying to lean out to avoid wasted calories, we’re optimized for efficiency that way. That’s why we start losing muscle as soon as we stop being active. Gorillas, and most primates for that matters aren’t set up that way. They may shrivel up when malnourished but they’ll generally build to most what they’re able to as long as they get enough food.
Gorillas get [a lot](https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Protein-fiber-ratios-of-the-leaf-foods-of-gorillas-and-high-protein-HP-and_fig4_323830534) of protein as it is.
As for a managed lifting schedule… I imagine it could make some difference. If they got much bigger they’d be awfully musclebound though. Seems as though that could be detrimental for a gorilla in the wild.
Joe Rogan, is that you?
Forget that…. lets give them some DMT or acid!!!

Gorillas have big stomachs to break down plant matter. Not every being needs extra whey protein shakes..
You mean give them a taste for meat and they learn they can get stronger from it?
And what do you stand to gain from this ????
Finally someone is asking important question on this subreddit.
Somewhere between large and huge.
Big enough to scare everyone probably.
Why not just inject them with steriods?

Why stop there? What would happen if we got gorillas on steroids?
