My coworker reached out to me to get to know me last week. He has never been in a relationship. I purely thought it was just a friend thing when we hung out the first time. Then I noticed subtle flirting through texts. Considering he was a coworker, I needed to address the situation before it led to anything that could cause issues for us at work. We hang around the same friends at work. Later I started noticing that I developed a small crush on him. Not a huge one by any means. I was interested and attracted to him, but I didn’t have feelings for him, because I can’t have feelings for someone I barely just met.
He is currently overwhelmed now. Said his roommate said that he should go for it with me (hence why he was flirting), because his roommate thought I was interested. However, he didn’t know if he saw me romantically. Yesterday he told me that he doesn’t see me in that way and did not appreciate me dropping my thoughts onto him like that. Because I told him that I was interested and attracted to him. He told me things could have turned out differently if I didn’t say it too early
