How much does your haircut cost and how much do you tip, why?

  1. He charges £15, I give him £20. My man’s just put all his heart and soul into making me look presentable. The least I can do is give him reason to smile.

  2. $40 + $10.

It is a nice luxury babershop in a coastal city that makes me feel relaxed (while waiting and in the chair) and takes online appointments.

Switched because I got one too many bad cuts at cheap places.

  3. My wife started cutting my hair March of 2020. Unfortunately I don’t think I can ever go back to my regular barber because it has become a somewhat erotic experience.

  4. $25, tip $10. It’s a chain, but the barber that cuts my hair knows what they’re doing with it.

  5. I used to pay about $50 for my haircut, including tip. Haven’t gotten a professional haircut since lockdown over two years ago though, so now my haircut is free because I do it myself.

  6. I’ve been going to my barber for about 5 years, and she recently moved shops. New cuts cost about 25, but I’ll always slide her at least another $8

  7. Mens Haircuts are fairly cheap, plus for me its a simple cut (#2 sides and back fade to #1, leave 2.5inch on top with some length play up front).

If it’s $25 or below, I will tip$5 at least, but usually toward $10-$15 depending on mood and their attention to detail

  8. Typically $0 because I shave my head, but I pay $15 for a beard trim plus a $5 tip.

  9. $30 and I usually tip $10. They are really good at what they do and they are a small, locally owned, 3 barber shop. They are always very friendly, make the experience enjoyable, but also aren’t overly chatty. I play bar trivia with one of them every Monday too, so he’s kind of a bro.

  10. 30 to 40 dollars depending on which barber I get. I tip 10 dollars. I only get about 2 haircuts per year though.

  11. Where the fuck are you people cutting your hair? For me it’s 8€ and I get exactly what I ask for, and I don’t know any places where it’s more than 15€ to cut your hair and sometimes beard. Are your barber’s scissors made of gold or something?

  12. The stylist I’ve been seeing for 2 years just upped her rate from $17 to $30 and the tips I’ve been leaving just went from $10 to $7. I’m not even upset, she’s the best stylist I’ve found since I moved here 8 years ago, the only reason I got a good deal was because she was just starting her business here and barely speaks English.

  13. You guys are tipping the barber now too? Where does it end? Tipping the car sales man?

Anyhow, I have a subscription to a barbershop. It’s 25 euros a month and for that I get 14 haircuts.

I just realised I did let my subscription run throughout the covid times, even though we could not get hair cuts, so you could say that is sort of a ‘tip’.

  14. I think I spent like $20 on a trimmer with attachments. Best investment I’ve ever made.

  15. As of now it’s free my girlfriend cuts my hair since I get a really simple cut. However before I use to pay $25 and tip anywhere from $5-10.

  16. $20 and the tip ranges from 5-10 depending on how much cash I have. Real old school place

  17. Mine costs me about 20 minutes in front of the bathroom mirror. I don’t tip, as the barber doesn’t seem all that professional.

  18. I honestly don’t know how much it costs. I usually just give my barber $100 and he’s happy. I’m guessing the haircut itself is probably about $40-$50.

  19. It costs zero, I tip zero and it’s because I cut my own hair. That way I always get the exact haircut I want.
