Matched with this girl while I was out of state about 3 weeks ago. Even though we dont live close by, we decided to keep talking. We talk on the phone pretty often and the longest conversation we’ve had has been 8 hours, but usually it’s over 2 hours. She sometimes travels to different hospitals for her job, and next month, she’s working at a hospital that’s closer to where I live and she threw out the idea of us meeting up while she was there. Despite this, I do feel like she’s been slightly more distanced lately, and I could easily screw it up before then.
My question is, how do I not screw things up in the next few weeks? I’m trying to find a delicate balance of talking to her enough that she stays engaged with me, but not so much that she thinks I’m clingy or desperate. I’ve had so many times in my life where I thought there was a spark, but then it just fizzles out. Id really like to not screw this one up.
