There’s a mixer happening in my town next month – 75 guys and 75 girls. I’m on-the-edge because tickets are pricey ($85 if you go alone, or $55 if you go with a friend \[a buddy and I are thinking about checking it out\]). The mixer will last 2 1/2 hours, and the food/drinks are appetizers/soft drinks.
Has anyone been to one of these things before? Is it worth it?

Never been to a mixer. I would like to go to the Catalina wine mixer though.
I’ve been to free mixers. Mostly bc I’ve seen pictures from paid mixers and I rarely find someone who looks attractive from the attendance photos. If I cannot find at least a handful of people I would find attractive from other events, why pay to be disappointed going forward?
