So I work in entertainment and my supervisor has a concert venue. I was previously invited to a show last week, agreed, then couldn’t make it and canceled. I asked for tickets to go to a different venue that’s 3 hours away for a show, and now I don’t want to drive 6 hours total today because I don’t want to drive, and my hybrid car is having issues so I’d have to take my gas guzzler truck, so I don’t want to spend 100$ getting there.
How do I politely cancel twice and still reserve the ability to ask for tickets to future shows?

for me if I cant think up a good excuse then I just tell that person the truth as to why x thing happened. At the very least, theyll respect your honesty
