Hah! What didn’t I learn in my twenties.i pulled my head out of my ass at 23. Got married and started a family at 25. I bought my first home at 27. By 29 I officially finished my apprenticeship and became a foreman. This year at 30. I’m realizing what being a father means for me. You never stop learning lessons. Good and bad.
Hustle and grind but don’t neglect your mental health.
Good health is more important than material stuff. Learned that after my car got T-boned on the driver’s side.
Work hard enough to create a foundation for your future, but have enough fun where you are happy with yourself, who you are becoming, and understand that everything is temporary.
Keep long term goals in mind always
Write your 10 year goals down and work towards them
Save your money, exercise, you’ll know who your friends are when you break contact, the world really doesn’t care about men, it’s important to take care of your mental health.
Taking responsibility by admitting my mistakes instead of trying to justify.
Don’t let girls talk you into believing you shouldn’t date around. When she’s 22 and says “she wants to settle down”, do buy her bullshit.
Oh, you said positive. 🤔
I look back far more fondly and remember more vividly the nights spent inside, sober(ish) and playing games doing something with a few good friends, than I do any of the craziest parties and wildest nights I’ve ever had
For context I’m in my early 30’s. I had years in my 20s, thinking “sleep is for the weak” need to hustle and grind. Result is I neglected my sleep and health.
Lessons I would to share, are to take care of your mental health and have good long sleep.
It’ll give you sharper thoughts, and better overall performance. Research and try what things give you less anxiety and worry.
Mental health and sleep are so underrated.
