I have a wedding next month and really want to join in on the fun of dancing. I don’t want to be stuck at my table because I don’t know how to fit in haha. Does anyone have any go to moves they can share?

  1. Yes because you are putting yourself out there and showing yourself off and everyone will notice what your moves/actions are.

  2. Sure is, but you may be better off searching this on youtube since instructions for dancing via text are going to be… weird.

That being said, whenever you’ve found a basic loop that works for you, having a few low key predetermined moves to spice things up is all you really need. Then you can pick stuff up from your surroundings or even ask for peoples favorite ones if you want to try to have conversations! Goofing around and being okay with making yourself look silly a little is a part of dancing.

  3. Yeah ! You don’t need to be the greatest dancer in the world, but it would help to practice some dance moves beforehand if you want to fit in with the group. Take some dance classes or learn from YouTube,

  4. Dance floor advice: Pretend you are holding a dish towel, your hands should never be farther away from each other than that. Of course if you’re doing your dance move your hands move away or out that’s different. Keeping your hands that distance together will keep you from looking like a spaz on the dance floor. I was given this advice many many years ago before Reddit even existed and I’ve been told I look good on the floor.
