23M from Uk here. Back when I was younger, I used to be competitive with video games, but eventually I realised I’d never make it to the pros, so I just quit. And now when I play video games, I don’t take them seriously anymore and don’t care. I just play for fun and it’s much more relaxing.

I’ve noticed that at my current age what I’ve been competitive about for the past 3 years has been dating apps. Now of course, women have insane abundance on there, whereas for men, we’re basically screwed and it feels like veteran difficulty, almost the same as playing a competitive game.

And now I’m at my tipping point and I can sense that I’ve realised this is a rigged game that I should just exist and focus on finding love the natural way in real life instead.

Tl;dr: apps are rigged against men, the pros of finding love don’t seem to outweigh the cons of the mental health struggles that you face during the online dating process imo.
