  1. Honestly, this is one of those times where your medical need trumps your embarrassment. Tell your parents you have an issue, if they press, just say it’s with your genitals and nothing more. Talk to your doctor about it. It is definitely embarrassing, believe me I know, but you have a legitimate medical problem that could have permanent repercussions if you don’t seek help. So sorry, but suck it up and see a doctor.

  2. Talk to your parents and a doctor. I got an sti in my teens. 2nd person I’d ever slept with and we used a condom. My mom was just upset I didn’t tell her I was having sex, but I got nothing but support. Sti’s are more common than you think. Don’t mention it to your friends unless you’re really close because friends can turn out to be assholes. But it’s not something that will solve itself. That or if they have cheap clinics where you live try that and don’t use your insurance.
