There’s a girl who I have been working with for the past couple of months and we’ve gotten along really well as of late. We plan trips going into the office together (we are mostly remote but we can go into the office whenever we want), have lunch together and walk to our cars together and talk non-stop during downtime at work. Overall we have a lot in common and enjoy talking to each other, at least from my perspective.
Since we are both colleagues I’m worried about breaking that professional boundary as I typically try not to be friends with the people I work with. Also, I’m a guy and I don’t want her to think I’m romantically interested in her. We are both married but I still don’t want to give off that vibe.
I don’t know if I’m overthinking this as I haven’t made any new friends in several years but it’s kind of eating me up a bit.
