wearing sunglasses indoors to hide awkwardness?

I’m a college student and I also am on the autism spectrum but high functioning. I’m pretty socially awkward. Especially when it comes to eye contact

Wearing sunglasses helps me a lot to cope. However, I look like a douchebag wearing sunglasses indoors.

I wanted some advice about whether I should wear sunglasses to college lecture? I’d rather look like a douchebag than look autistic and the sunglasses def do help to mask my autistic eye contact symptoms.

Any advice?

I was a few mins late to lecture on Wednesday and it was awkward af when I walked into the lecture and didn’t make eye contact with anyone. I was just like staring at the floor.
