I understand there is a rare risk of chronic pain or soreness.

Does having varicose* veins in my scrotum (according to a urologist) or having a testicular benign cyst increase my odds of having lingering soreness issues?
*I don’t believe i have varicocele, but i will definitely be asking the doctor to clarify my past diagnosis.

I have periodically experienced throbbing due to the cyst. I think it’s partially psychosomatic. Ie. it hurts more when i’m thinking/worrying about it.

As a long time porn abuser I worry that my pipes are worn out and that i may be at higher risk for long lasting complications.

Im also frequently have blue balls because my wife keeps me waiting a lot.

Final question. If my balls are no longer being drained, will i experience post ejaculation soreness in my balls?

  1. These are questions best answered by a Dr. What I can say is I don’t know anybody who has lasting soreness or pain but I do know someone with other health issues that the didn’t heal correctly/quickly but that was also in the late 90’s. Talk to ur drm if u don’t trust them find another Dr. This is def one of those things could be worth multiple opinions from drs.

  2. I had a vasectomy in 30 years ago and I haven’t had any chronic pain.

This article from the Mayo Clinic does a good job of explaining vasectomies and addresses some but not all of your concerns. This is why you should talk with a doctor to get answers to all your questions.

The article doesn’t mention a few things. You may need to shave your scrotum before the procedure. You should bring an instant ice pack that you can use to reduce swelling on the car ride back home. You should wait until a lab confirms that you have no sperm in your semen before you have sex without condoms or some other form of birth control.
