I [F 27] met a guy [M 31] from Bumble and we had been talking for like 3-4 weeks already? We already met thrice as well and this has been the longest “getting to know each other” or dating stage I’ve been.

Usually, I jump into a relationship right away after dating a guy for a week or two but this time, this feels different. We both agreed to take it slowly but surely. We do not want to rush things since he said so himself that he wants me to see his real him before committment. I appreciate how I meet a guy who is willing to respect my boundaries as well. Most of my exes would rush or pressure me to be with them. Every time I tell them I want to take it slowly, they would end up pressuring me and bring up the topic of sex/sexual intimacy without building the actual foundation.

But this guy is so different. I can feel the consistency and at the same time, he doesn’t pressure me or force me to be in a relationship with him right away. He told me that to build a good foundation, it’s learning and seeing each other’s true selves which I am on the same boat.

Hopefully things will work out this time. So far, we are enjoying each other’s company and we haven’t talked about anything sexual yet. We did hug once and held sometimes each other’s hands (not frequently). But I can say is there is a progress physically and emotionally.
