I’m in my 20s and my sex life has been picking up quite a bit.

However, I’m also a bit paranoid and everywhere I read online, it sounds like even if I use a condom, I can still definitely get herpes and other STIs.

But what exactly are those chances? If they aren’t actively breaking out and I use a condom, can I still catch something? What’s the risk exactly?

  1. You want an approximation? Idk the exact percent… but I think it’s pretty airtight if you put it on right and are using the right size condom…

  2. Since some STIs are open sore to skin or wet tissue. It depends on the STI and the transfer area.

A person with herpes might have an outbreak and open sore that their partner happens to come in contact with. Maybe inadvertently kissing or licking or transferring from hands fingers. But way better than nothing.

  3. Do you ask the person if they have been tested? Go get tested with them or don’t have sex. Best advice lmao
