men 40 and older, what is your go to cologne? and not too outrageously expensive

  1. Most of the time nothing. If anything then just some Aqua Velva. I don’t have much of a reason to wear anything most of the time.

  2. Don’t really do cologne anymore. If we’re going out I’ll use a nicer aftershave but that’s about as far as I go.

  3. Irish Spring soap and deodorant – no cologne needed (colognes and perfumes give me a headache).

  4. I prefer sweat and musk, mixed with dirty ass and ball sweat. The pheromones are intoxicating to women. They can’t stay far enough away.

  5. Drakar Noir. I’m 60 and some young woman told me a couple of months ago that I smell old. Perfect!

  6. Cremo has some solid EDTs for around $20 each (Walmart, Amazon, et al). They do only last half a day though. Spice & Black Vanilla is one of their more popular ones. Palo Santo is also pretty solid.

Cool Water and Curve are also popular and very common from discount retailers (Burlington, Ross, Marshalls, TJ Max, etc). Cool Water to my nose though smells a tiny bit too close to 90s Axe body spray. Curve is boring, but good boring is that makes sense.

Also, Armaf Ventana (like Dior Sauvage). Mercedes Benz Intense (like Dior Fahrenheit). Armaf Club De Nuit Intense (like Aventus). Etc.

  7. Hugo Boss every day, Versace on special nights, often told I smell good, my reply? “I know.” 😂
