So I have been talking with my crush for almost a month mostly through text message. I had asked about Bitmoji and if he had one. Then the conversation went to Snapchat. I think he was hinting on me adding him. He had said he uses it to send pictures to his friends often. I was kind of hesitant because I know Snapchat can be used for nudes and sexting. So I kind of mentioned I don’t really use Snapchat. Anyways a couple days later we were talking about art and he brought up that I should add him on Snapchat so I did. Nothing bad just talks about art and computers (the same as the conversations we had while texting). So we talked and that was a couple days ago and we both said we would talk to each other later. I’m just confused on why he wanted me to add him on Snapchat and if he is waiting for me to text first. Do you think he is interested?Please be nice I’m kind of new to this things.

I’m not really the best person to give advice, socially, but I’m young enough to understand this. It’s merely an easier, widely accepted use of communication. Ever text one friend on your phone, another through Facebook, the next maybe email? It’s just easier to have everyone in one place and, yes, I know you’ll think “But we have eachother’s number already…” because that’s the correct evaluation but these newer generations really idolize Snapchat. I tried uninstalling it for about a year until I got tired of hearing “What’s your Snap?” and having to list 3 other contact methods to every person I met. Whipping out my QR code is reasonably quick.
Also, yeah he’s probably interested if he extended a friend invitation. Snapchat can be rather personal
