I know I’m probably getting too much into the details here. We’re going to a sporting event. It usually takes 30 minutes to get there, but this event is on a weekend and is sold out so traffic will be worse than usual. Event starts at 4:00pm. I’m debating picking her up at 2:45 or 3:00.
With 2:45 I’m very confident we’ll get there on time even if traffic is bad, only problem is we might get there early and have a half hour to kill before the game starts.
If I pick her up at 3:00 we will most likely get there on time but could be rushed.
My preference would be get there a little early, and be relaxed versus getting there right in time possibly in a rush to get there. What would you do?

Maybe ask her if she has a preference? I’d rather get somewhere early, but that’s not for everyone.
get there early and use the extra time to chat or play a game in the car
Do it early then grab a coffee or something like finger food snacks etc when you get there.
Definitely 2:45… she might be running late getting ready anyway. If you have time before it actually starts then get drinks and snacks.
