I had my gallbladder removed today and I’m not supposed to pick my little one up for at least 7-10 days. I genuinely do not understand how this is possible. I have a partner and he’s taking time off, but I still nurse at night time. She’s always been a pretty bad sleeper and gets up several times throughout the night to be nursed or rocked to sleep. She screams for hours if my partner tries to put her back down. I can hold her and nurse her if he hands her to me, but then I somehow have to give her back so he can put her in the crib? She just wakes up immediately. It’s only been hours and I have no idea how we are supposed to make this work for the next night or two, let alone the next week. Anyone else have experience with this? Any tips or tricks would be amazing.
