I’ve noticed that when I get anxious I can’t talk well, and I think I speak with my throat because my throat will start hurting and I feel like I can’t be myself, and I lose my ability to say funny things. I feel like I focus too much on my mouth when I talk and it feels like I’m doing it manually, kind of like manually breathing. I don’t know how to stop focusing on what my voice sounds like, and how sometimes it sounds mumbled or that I keep mispronouncing words. Can anyone help?

  1. Well the only solution i can think to this is practice, talk to people you are confortable whit, and try to calm down when talking to others. Noone is gonna bite or attack you, we all do weird stuff at times or say weird stuff at times or talk funny at times, is normal and ther eis no reason to be anxious.

I hope this helps a little

  2. You could try practicing by yourself, run through a few lines that you can throw into a conversation when you start getting that feeling.

  3. In my experience the only thing that has helped me is actually calming down beforehand by making sure to breathe slowly and deeply using my diaphragm. For added stress relief you can make your exhales a couple counts longer than your inhales.
