Often when I start a chat with someone for the first time and things work out it ends up with the other sending 4-5 messages and me later responding with multiple messages aswell, usually we don’t respond right away so the messages stack together and also the responses.

Is it OK or it’s bad/overwhelming in the long run?

  1. I think you are overthinking this. It depends, sometimes I have conversations over text, not as much anymore. I prefer to just pick up the phone. I primarily only had text conversations with a penpal or while I’m at work during idle time with another coworker. Probably normal for teens and someone in their mid 20s. But in the real world it’s best to just pick up the phone, a lot of things get lost and misunderstood in text messages. You miss cues that you would have over a text versus a phone call. It’s also preferences, some people freak out when I call them. Do you.
