i may not have the answers but i can speak on the healing process, im at about a year and a half since i i left my abusive relationship. (30M) i was with ex for 4 years.
Try meditation – not kidding nor trolling. Your brain conditioned and now you sort of have PTSD. You got neurons in your brain established connections which must be pruned and mediation can help. If this is not for you then try go workout more often, get in shape, meet and enjoy new people
its gunna take some time, all my habbits have changed damaticly most of it for avoiding people, i think im starting to have some good days. trauma damages the brain so it will take time to get process the change. im still not there yet.
ah fuck my reply didnt post, but ah im at about 50% good days and 50% bad days but the good days arent great days more i was able to keep distracted for most of the day. still get the nightmares though.
