Get a granny trolley
Check out your local charity shops. Not uncommon to find one in decent condition for a couple of quid.
I’ve seen bags with basically a stick through the handle that rests on top of the trolly so they stay open and upright.
Pretty pricey on Amazon but you can probably get them cheaper somewhere.

Use boxes
Big blue IKEA bag works for me

i use the express ones as only do a top up to my fortnightly online shop.
There are special trolley bags you can get. They velcro together for easy storage and then unroll and fit *perfectly* inside a large trolley for scan as you shop.
There’s 4 compartments and its colour coded so you can separate your shopping as you go… Red for meat, green for veg etc.
I bought one about 4/5 years ago and I still get smug when I see the jealous stares as I flaunt it around the supermarket.
10/10 highly recommend.
I have two of [these](https://www.amazon.co.uk/achilles-AD320-achilles%C2%AE-Car-folding/dp/B00Q6ZZPP8) one with a removable cool bag insert. They fit perfect in trolley. You can tetris your shopping in as you need and they dont spill in the back of the car on the way home. They fold up when not in use and they’re great for lugging anything else around too
I bought some of the ones for scan and go at asda they’re pretty good. They clamp to the trolley and have a Velcro cover to close them when your carrying them
I use one of those crates that they deliver shopping in. They fit perfectly in the small shallow trollies.
