Me F(21) is suddenly being disrespected by my coworker (who is also my cousin) F(33). She suddenly is being really short with me when I try and talk to her, and I don’t know why. I always offer to help her when she needs it. But she brushes me off in a mocking voice.
For some background, I’ve been working at our job for 3 years, she’s been working here for around 1 1/2 years. I am in charge of her, but she’s been treating me negatively lately. I want to address the issue, but I don’t know how; and honestly it kinda scares me.
Any advice on how to start the conversation?

Just go up to your cousin and say hey, I noticed your attitude towards me has been different recently and I was curious to know why, is something wrong?
I would approach her a bit less politely than suggested by another user. I would ask her loudly “What’s your problem?” in front of other people. And I would be a dick to her too, report her to HR.
