wondering whether messaging this person would be weird

So I was next to this girl in my class a couple of days ago and we talked and she said that we should form a study group sometime so we exchanged numbers. I was going to study for the class a little bit so I was wondering if it would be awkward for me to message her and ask her if she wanted to join. We haven’t talked since then and I didn’t see her in the class. Idk if it matters but I’m also a girl.
